Second Generation Xperia Mini and Mini ProPosted by: Phil EspositoMay 10, 2011

According to Engadget, Sony Ericsson has just announced the next generation to the Xperia Mini and Mini Pro. If you were familiar with the previous Minis, they sported low grade specs and just missed a few key features that all Android devices should have. The new Mini and Mini Pro feature the following specs:

Android 2.3 (Gingerbread)3” Multitouch Display (Sony’s Bravia Engine with Reality Display)1 GHz Processor720p Video CaptureMINI PRO ONLY: Full Slide-out QWERTY KeyboardMINI PRO ONLY: Front Facing Camera

As you can see, the Xperia Mini and Mini Pro got quite the upgrade and now stand a chance against some of their larger Android competitors. These two phones will be available in August of this year and will come in 4 different colors. Hopefully we'll see a launch in the U.S., since the previous Minis never made it across the pond. If you could have either one of these phone, which one would you choose? Tell us in the comment section below or on our Facebook wall!

Mini series definitely needed a boost. Also the mini did actually make it across "the pond" as the mini did launch and do well on the rogers wireless network here in canada.
