Gameloft Adds Ability To Re-Download Purchased GamesPosted by: Phil EspositoMay 19, 2011

If you are a fan of Gameloft games, you will be happy to hear they just changed their DRM policy. Now what does this mean? Gameloft changing their DRM policy means that you can now re-download already purchased games to a new device. For example, when you download games from the Android Market and you then get a new phone, what do you do? You can access the Android Market on your new phone and download all your previously purchased applications. Gameloft is now going to allow the same thing with their games. Yes this seems like something that should have been there since the start, but it wasn't. Until now, if you wanted to re-download your already purchased games, you would need to go through customer service. I think it's great that Gameloft finally did this. It sends a clear message to other third party software providers. Users should always be allowed to re-download applications that they have already purchased.

How do you feel about this? Do you even use Gameloft games? Leave your comments below or on our Facebook wall.

I understand your desire to have more of their games on the Android Market, but how is the Amazon app store better than just buying directly from the developer?

I bought several games for my virtual console on wii. I'm going to sell my wii and need to format the hard drive.
