Counting calories for weight loss has been completely debunked. If you want to lose weight, eliminate carbohydrates and eat a diet high in protein, fat, and vegetables.

This app will be as effective in weight loss as Angry Birds...

I'm going to have to find a new android blog to visit.  I do not like the new pop-up ad's you have here that shows up even before your blog finishes loading in the browser.

Um... no?

I lost 55 lb in 6 months without even exercising with the Fatsecret app (225 down to 170).  I   tracked calories as well as carbs, fat, and protein, then later worked up to tracking sugars and sodium.  I worked at keeping carbs under 50% and fat as low as possible.  I was eating healthy too, lots of fruit and veggies, good grains (bread, pasta etc), and all that.  So not just low calories.

Now I don't know what this app tracks, but I'm sure it's pretty comprehensive.  I've run across their website looking for nutritional info on certain things and they seem to have a lot.  That said, I'll also say the Fatsecret app, and website, are excellent also.  Fatsecret and Calorie Counter are probably nearly identical in terms of what they help you track, so whatever works for you.  I'm going to continue using Fatsecret because I've got all my stuff on there and it works.

Anyway, that's just my $0.02 on the whole thing.
