What about Spotify? Can't _legally_ use it in the US. The problem is that they have to secure approvals and agreements from a bunch of music companies. Especially if they want to do discovery, auto-playlists, suggestions, and music sampling. Their agreements are currently only good in the US/NorthAmerica. So, once they garner agreements in other zones (Euro, Japan, China, etc), then they will probably expand.

To all the non Americans whining about it being US only, don't blame Google, blame your Countries with their convoluted policies and rules that Google doesn't feel like dealing with at the moment, same BS problem why some can't get paid apps in their Countries

To you folks whining about us whining about not being in the us. Screw U, 4.5% of the population.
This got me angry so I fixed it I bought a US VPN service. I pay $80 per year and can get hulu, netflix

Geez you guys whinge a lot. As a developer I'd be fathering bricks if I had to do a global rollout out on a publicly untested service. Not to mention the licencing issues they're going to run into with global markets. Rolling out in stages is normal and (shock horror) a good thing

Get over it.
