Hugo Barra, Product Management Director of Android, announced a few outstanding numbers at Google I/0 this morning regarding Android activations and app success:

100 million activated Android devices400,000 new Android devices activated every day200,000 free and paid applications available in Android Market4.5 billion applications installed from Android Market

This is a 50,000 daily activation boost since March. Undoubtedly, Android has truly become a powerhouse in the mobile industry. Maybe by this time next year we will all be raving about impressive Android tablet and Google TV statistics!

I used to be jealous of iPhone users because of all the awesome apps they have but now I am no longer jealous anymore and glad that I am a Android user, they are really getting good at this!!
